  On November 25, 2018, the "Discussion Meeting on the Investigator's Protocol for Phase III Clinical Trial of Recombinant Human Hepatocyte Growth Factor Naked Plasmid Injection," hosted by Peking Union Medical College Hospital, was held at the Liting Hotel. The meeting was organized by Beijing Northland Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and chaired by Professor Changwei Liu, a renowned vascular surgeon from Peking Union Medical College Hospital. Researchers from a total of eight hospitals across China attended the meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to refine the design of the clinical trial protocol and to conduct the Phase III clinical trial in a more scientific and rational manner. The participants engaged in an in-depth discussion on the Phase III clinical trial protocol, covering topics such as inclusion criteria, exclusion criteria, primary endpoints, concomitant medications, and injection methods. Through this meeting, researchers from all participating institutions gained a deeper understanding of the trial protocol and put forward several pertinent suggestions for revising the protocol.

  Recombinant human hepatocyte growth factor naked plasmid injection is a Class 1 new drug for the treatment of severe lower limb ischemia, independently developed by Beijing Northland Biotechnology Co., Ltd. It is currently about to enter Phase III clinical trials at multiple research centers across the country.
