At 10:00 a.m. on May 30, 2013, accompanied by a long blast from the concrete pump truck's whistle, the final batch of commercial concrete was poured for the main structure of Phase I of the NORTHLAND Pharmaceutical Production Base—the “Eye Drop Production Workshop and Four Other Projects,” officially marking the completion of the main structural topping-out.

On March 6, 2013, the first-phase project of the pharmaceutical production base of Beijing Northland Biotechnology Co., Ltd. officially broke ground. The project includes a pharmaceutical production workshop and a power center, with a total construction area of 9,981 m². Since its preparation began in June 2012, the project has completed all preliminary work, including feasibility studies, preliminary design, detailed construction drawings, temporary construction facilities, and relevant administrative approvals. The project is scheduled for complete completion by December 2013. The project’s construction entity is Beijing Northland Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company; the construction contractor is Jiangsu Huakun Construction Engineering Co., Ltd.; and the supervision unit is Beijing Dazheng Construction Supervision Co., Ltd. Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were Mr. Xu Songsan, General Manager of the company, senior and mid-level management personnel, engineering construction management staff, relevant management and engineering technical personnel from the construction and supervision units, Mr. Jeon Jae-gab, President of South Korea’s Humedix Co., Ltd., Mr. Lin Hu, General Manager of Hong Kong Lint Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd., and relevant leaders from the East District Management Committee of the Tongzhou Economic Development Zone.
