On March 30, 2021, NORTHLAND signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Qingsong Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Qingsong Pharmaceutical). The two parties will leverage their respective resource advantages, focus on the ophthalmic pharmaceutical sector, expand the scope of their cooperation, and engage in comprehensive collaboration in areas such as the research and development, production, and marketing of new products.

　　Previously, the two parties had already established a cooperative relationship regarding the sales of ophthalmic drugs. As a subsidiary of NORTHLAND Holdings, Qingsong Pharmaceutical serves as the national exclusive distributor of Huienland Olopatadine Hydrochloride Eye Drops. This product won the bid in the fourth round of national centralized procurement in February of this year and is now being sold in 15 provinces and cities across the country.

　　NORTHLAND has consistently focused on the research, development, production, and sales of gene therapy drugs, recombinant protein drugs, and ophthalmic medications. Guided by clinical needs, the company currently has nine bioengineered drugs in development, three of which have entered the clinical research stage. Leveraging its technological strengths and capitalizing on the “short, flat, and fast” characteristics of generic drug development, NORTHLAND is strategically positioning itself in the ophthalmic pharmaceutical sector to continuously support the R&D of its bioengineered drugs. Its controlling subsidiary, Huien NORTHLAND, specializes in the research, development, and production of ophthalmic medications and boasts an advanced eye-drop production line that complies with the new GMP standards. Currently, three ophthalmic medications have been launched and are available for sale.

　　Qingsong Pharmaceutical is a commercial pharmaceutical company with extensive involvement in the health-care products sector, focusing on the research and development, manufacturing, and sales of prescription drugs, OTC medications, and medical devices. The company boasts a diverse product portfolio that includes original research products, antibiotic products, liquid dosage forms, and OTC products. Its sales network covers all provinces across China, and its prescription drug offerings are available in over 10,000 hospitals.

　　The signing of this strategic cooperation agreement will leverage Qingsong Pharmaceutical's strengths in project initiation, raw material supply, and pharmaceutical marketing, as well as NORTHLAND's and its holding subsidiary Huienland's advantages in project R&D and production, thereby achieving resource sharing and complementarity. At the same time, by taking advantage of the MAH system arrangements, we can reduce redundant investments and increase the production capacity of Huienland's drug manufacturing lines, benefiting both parties mutually.

　　Leaders from both sides stated that this renewed collaboration, which has established a stable strategic partnership, will significantly shorten the project initiation and R&D cycle for ophthalmic drugs, enhance market promotion and penetration capabilities, and accelerate the growth of sales revenue. Both parties will leverage their respective strengths to jointly advance the development and commercialization of ophthalmic drug products, thereby benefiting the vast number of ophthalmic disease patients in China.
