On the morning of April 22, 2010, a conference was held in Beijing to implement the State Council’s approval and accelerate the development of the Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone. Attending the conference were Liu Qi, Secretary of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee; Wan Gang, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Minister of Science and Technology; Li Xueyong, Party Secretary and Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology; Guo Jinlong, Deputy Secretary of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and Mayor; Zhao Fengtong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee; and Gou Zhongwen, Vice Mayor of Beijing.

At the meeting, Secretary Liu Qi and Minister Wan Gang delivered important speeches respectively. Zhao Fengtong, a member of the Municipal Party Committee, read out the "Decision on Commending Units That Made Outstanding Contributions to the Industrialization of Major Scientific and Technological Achievements in the Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone in 2009." NORTHLAND was selected as one of the units that made outstanding contributions to the industrialization of major scientific and technological achievements in the Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone in 2009 for its industrialization achievement—the newly developed genetic engineering drug, "Recombinant Human Hepatocyte Growth Factor Naked Plasmid Injection," which was independently researched and developed by the company. Leaders from the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Municipal Party Committee held a certificate-awarding ceremony for representatives of the honored enterprises.
