The NORTHLAND NL005 project recently received invention patent grants from both the United States and South Korea. The patent title is “Thymosin β4 Derivatives and Their Applications.” The U.S. invention patent grant number is 7816321 B2, and the South Korean invention patent grant number is 10-0984635. Thus far, the PCT international patent application for this project has entered the national phase in the United States, South Korea, Europe, and Japan; among these, the patents in the United States and South Korea have each been granted certificates of authorization.

Thymosin β4 is a small-molecule protein that is widely distributed throughout the body and closely associated with various physiological and pathological processes. It exhibits multiple biological activities, including angiogenesis, wound healing, and myocardial repair. Our company has leveraged genetic engineering technology to develop recombinant human thymosin β4 and is currently working on an innovative drug intended for the treatment of conditions such as skin injuries, corneal damage, and acute myocardial infarction. This project has been granted invention patents in both the United States and South Korea, which not only strengthens our company’s protection of intellectual property rights related to this project in terms of both scope and intensity but also further enhances our company’s core competitiveness.
