On August 20, 2010, the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission and other organizations held the 2010 Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone “Gazelle Program” First Batch of Key Cultivation Enterprises Conference at the Beijing Convention Center, and announced the list of the first batch of 525 key cultivation enterprises. Beijing Northland Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was one of the 58 bioengineering and new pharmaceutical companies selected this time, becoming a key cultivation enterprise under the demonstration zone’s “Gazelle Program” in the first batch.

This "Gazelle Program" focuses on cultivating enterprises primarily in strategic emerging industries such as electronic information, bioengineering, and new pharmaceuticals. Based on the different stages of enterprise development, two categories are selected: First, early-stage enterprises that possess core technologies and demonstrate strong future growth potential; second, high-growth enterprises that exhibit rapid growth rates and feature “specialization, uniqueness, excellence, and innovation,” with promising development prospects.

Enterprises selected for the “Gazelle Program” key cultivation list can receive prioritized support from relevant policies in areas such as startup financing, talent recruitment and incentives, and market development, thereby facilitating their IPOs and accelerating their growth.
