On August 16, 2016, the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission released the first batch of G20 enterprise list for the 13th Five-Year Plan period, and NORTHLAND was successfully selected as an innovation-leading enterprise.

The G20 Initiative is an abbreviation for the Beijing Biopharmaceutical Industry Leapfrog Development Program. The “G” stands for “Great,” the first letter of the English word “Great,” symbolizing key enterprises that are large in scale and make significant contributions. The “20” represents the 20% of enterprises that are most critical under the “80/20 rule,” implying that the government will allocate 80% of its resources to support these 20% of key enterprises. Launched by the Beijing Municipal Government in April 2010, the initiative aims to accelerate the development of Beijing’s biopharmaceutical industry through policy support and targeted resource allocation.

NORTHLAND’s inclusion in the G20 Initiative this time is a recognition of our achievements over more than a decade of dedication to the research and development of innovative drugs. We will continue to increase our R&D investment, enhance our scientific research management capabilities, and make positive contributions to the development of the capital’s pharmaceutical industry.
