        Recently, the company’s two innovative drug projects—“Recombinant Human Hepatocyte Growth Factor Naked Plasmid Injection” (project code NL003) and “Recombinant Human Parathyroid Hormone Naked Plasmid” (project code Y001)—each received an “Invention Patent Certificate” issued by the National Intellectual Property Administration. As of now, the company and its subsidiaries have collectively obtained a total of 23 authorized patents (including 18 within China and 5 overseas), and all core technologies have been duly protected by intellectual property rights.

        The newly granted invention patent for the NL003 project is “A High-Density Fermentation Method for Recombinant Human Hepatocyte Growth Factor Naked Plasmid (Patent No.: ZL201510311174.4).” The main content of this invention patent involves an optimized high-density fermentation process using Escherichia coli, which has significantly improved the production process level of the target plasmid drug while ensuring scalable production yields, thereby providing strong support for the industrialization of this product. The grant of this invention patent extends the overall patent protection of the project and further strengthens the protection of NL003’s technological innovation and core competitiveness. In addition to the above-mentioned invention patent grant, the related patent—PCT international patent application “Human Hepatocyte Growth Factor Mutant and Uses Thereof”—is currently undergoing national examination in the United States, Europe, Japan, and South Korea.

        The authorized invention patent for Project Y001 is “A Nucleic Acid Molecule Encoding Parathyroid Hormone Protein or Its Fragment (Patent No.: ZL202010166852.3).” This invention patent employs a gene therapy approach using a recombinant plasmid carrying the human parathyroid hormone gene. After injection, this plasmid enables sustained expression of human parathyroid hormone in the body, which is expected to effectively reduce the frequency of dosing, enhance patient compliance, and significantly lower production costs.

        Both of the aforementioned patents were developed based on the new drug development technology underlying the naked plasmid gene therapy platform. Specifically, “A High-Density Fermentation Method for Recombinant Human Hepatocyte Growth Factor Naked Plasmids” stems from the naked plasmid preparation technology—particularly the plasmid fermentation technology—of the naked plasmid gene therapy platform; while “A Nucleic Acid Molecule Encoding Parathyroid Hormone Protein or Its Fragment” originates from the optimized gene-design technology employed by the naked plasmid gene therapy platform. These two invention patents further strengthen the company’s capabilities in developing naked plasmid-based gene therapies.

        The company has been granted two new invention patents, which have enhanced its independent innovation capabilities, drug R&D capacity, and the level of intellectual property protection. The company will continue to increase its R&D investment, leveraging its core technology platforms to steadily and firmly strengthen innovation in new drug development, thereby elevating its technological barriers and maintaining its technological edge.
