April 8, 2022 On [date], NORTHLAND Holding’s subsidiary, Beijing NORTHLAND Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Biopharmaceutical”), held a signing ceremony for the general contracting of the “Biopharmaceutical Industrialization Project” with China Construction Installation Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “CSIG”). Mr. Xu Songshan, Chairman of the company, and Mr. Gu Jianbing, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of CSIG North China Company, attended the ceremony and signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides.

        The “Biopharmaceutical Industrialization Project” is a pharmaceutical production base built to support the industrialization of NORTHLAND’s self-developed bioengineering drugs. The project is being undertaken by a biopharmaceutical company. It covers an area of 36,000 square meters, with a total construction area of 34,000 square meters and a total investment of approximately 270 million yuan. The first-phase plan includes the construction of a research and development center, a production workshop for self-developed drugs, and warehouses. The project will break ground in April 2022 and is expected to be completed in 2023. In accordance with the company’s bidding procedures, after processes including bid opening, bid presentation, bid evaluation, and bid awarding, China Construction Installation was ultimately selected.

        At the signing ceremony, Mr. Gu Jianbing, Chairman of China Construction Installation, stated that NORTHLAND, guided by the principles of "openness, impartiality, and fairness," had rigorously evaluated and selected China Construction Installation after a thorough review process. He expressed gratitude for NORTHLAND's trust. At the same time, he emphasized that China Construction Installation would faithfully fulfill its contractual obligations, placing quality engineering at the core, concentrating its superior resources, and using a craftsman’s spirit to deliver high-quality projects that stand the test of time, thereby contributing the strength of a central state-owned enterprise.

        Xu Songshan, Chairman of the company, expressed his gratitude to China Construction Installation for its high level of attention and active cooperation from the very beginning of the bidding process. He further clarified the project’s construction requirements as well as the responsibilities and obligations of both parties. He hopes that the teams from both sides will work together with scientific management and safe construction practices, strictly adhere to all quality standards, and complete the project on time and with guaranteed quality, in accordance with the project’s scope, schedule, and construction standards. The goal is to create a model project for the production base of bioengineering drugs, setting an industry benchmark and serving as a leading example.

In this project, the construction and installation project manager from NORTHLAND provided a detailed introduction to the project preparation and construction plan. Both parties reached a consensus on objectives related to schedule, quality, safety, and environmental management. Following the signing of the general contracting agreement for the project, the bioengineering pharmaceutical production base will commence construction on an as-yet-undetermined date.
