Recently, the 12th (2020) China Pharmaceutical Entrepreneurs, Scientists, and Investors Conference—hosted by the China Association of Pharmaceutical Enterprise Management, the China Association of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, and the General Office of the Central Committee of the China National Democratic Construction Association—was held in Hangzhou. During the conference, the “Top 100 Chinese Pharmaceutical Innovation Enterprises 2020” list was released, and our company was successfully included on the list.

　　In this “Top 100 Innovators” selection, we started from the current state of pharmaceutical innovation, built a comprehensive model, and collected and organized relevant data. Taking enterprises as the main body and data as the foundation, we evaluated companies across three key dimensions—innovation foundations, innovation processes, and innovation outcomes—using four metrics as criteria: the number of granted patents, the total number of patent citations, the number of clinical trials conducted, and the number of innovative drugs approved and launched. The result is the “Top 100 Chinese Pharmaceutical Innovation Enterprises,” which represent China’s leading edge in pharmaceutical innovation. It is understood that the “Top 100 Chinese Pharmaceutical Innovation Enterprises,” as the vanguard representing China’s pharmaceutical innovation capabilities, are the core driving force behind the transformation and upgrading of China’s pharmaceutical industry and the building of its industrial competitiveness. They have also become valuable references and benchmarks for the entire industry.

　　As a company still in the early stages of new drug development, our firm has successfully been included for the first time on the “Top 100 Chinese Pharmaceutical Innovation Enterprises” list, which is both a strong recognition and a significant incentive for our company’s capabilities in new drug R&D and innovation. Since its establishment, the company has been focusing on the research and development of gene therapy drugs, recombinant protein drugs, and ophthalmic medications, leveraging its independently owned intellectual property technology platform. To date, we have developed nine innovative bioengineered drugs, three of which have entered clinical trials. We currently hold 19 authorized patents and are undertaking eight major national projects dedicated to the creation of new drugs. Looking ahead, NORTHLAND will continue to uphold our corporate mission of “Creating Value, Serving Health,” and remain committed to new drug R&D, manufacturing, and sales. We will keep forging ahead with continuous innovation, accelerate the industrialization of our new drug projects, achieve our own sustained growth, and at the same time, contribute to public health and the advancement of China’s pharmaceutical industry.
