Recently, the company signed a special task contract under the “11th Five-Year Plan” for the national major science and technology project on “Major New Drug Creation.” It has been awarded over 7.7 million yuan in special funding to support research on three new drug projects. The receipt of this funding will further accelerate the development progress of the company’s ongoing new drug projects.

The “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” project under the national major science and technology special program for “Major New Drug Development” was officially launched in August 2008. It is one of the 16 major national science and technology programs identified in the Outline of the National Medium- and Long-Term Science and Technology Development Plan (2006-2020). This special program aims to accelerate China’s historic and strategic shift in drug research and the pharmaceutical industry—from being primarily reliant on generic drugs toward achieving independent innovation as the main driving force. The program seeks to develop a batch of new drugs with independent intellectual property rights and strong market competitiveness, thereby establishing new drug innovation capabilities that will support the independent development of China’s pharmaceutical sector.
