NORTHLAND Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony for Pharmaceutical Production Base Construction Project
On June 15, the groundbreaking ceremony for the pharmaceutical production base of Beijing Northland Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was held in Xiji, Tongzhou. Guo Hong, Director of the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee, Yue Peng, District Mayor of Tongzhou District, and other relevant leaders from Beijing Municipality, Haidian District, and Tongzhou District attended the event.
The pharmaceutical production base of NORTHLAND is located in the Eastern Zone of Tongzhou Economic Development Zone, covering a total area of 55,966.5 m², with a total construction land area of 45,420.7 m². The construction of the pharmaceutical production base will follow the principle of integrated planning and phased development: Phase I will include the Huirenland eye-drop production workshop and the power center, primarily producing hyaluronic acid-based eye drops; Phase II will involve the gene therapy drug production workshop and the comprehensive office building, scheduled to commence construction next year, mainly producing the Class 1 new drugs of the NL003 series developed in-house; Phase III will be the recombinant protein drug production workshop, focusing on drugs such as NL201, NL004, NL005, and NL001, which will be constructed and put into operation in accordance with the order in which new drug certificates are obtained for each project; Phase IV is reserved for future company development projects, primarily intended for the industrialization of antibody drugs.
The commencement of construction of NORTHLAND’s pharmaceutical production base heralds the company’s entry into a new stage of development.
