On March 22, 2014, Beijing Northland Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and South Korea's Pangen Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing. Chairman Xu Songshan of NORTHLAND and Professor Jae Seung Yoon, Representative Director of Pangen, jointly attended the signing ceremony.

Korea Pangen Co., Ltd. (South Korea), established in 2010, is a renowned high-tech biotechnology enterprise that possesses proprietary core technologies in areas such as the construction of animal cell engineering strains and the preparation of proteins. The company’s main business activities include the research and development, production, and commercialization of innovative biopharmaceutical drugs.

NORTHLAND possesses three core technologies: gene vectors, prokaryotic and animal cell culture, and biomacromolecule purification. It has particularly rich experience in the research and development and production of biopharmaceuticals. Currently, five new drug projects are in the clinical research stage, and two additional new drugs have nearly completed preclinical studies.

Through this strategic partnership, both parties will fully leverage their respective expertise and experience in new drug research, strengthen collaboration, complement each other’s strengths, and jointly advance the research and industrialization of therapeutic antibody drugs, thereby achieving a win-win outcome.
