On January 25, 2016, the China-Korea FTA Investment Forum was held at the residence of the Korean Ambassador to China. At the invitation of the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to China, Mr. Xu Songshan, Chairman of the company, and Mr. Nie Liya, Executive Deputy General Manager, attended the forum. Also in attendance were officials from the governments of both China and South Korea, including Mr. Kim Jang-soo, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to China, and Mr. Wu Zhengping, Director of the Asia Department of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, as well as leaders from 39 Chinese and Korean enterprises, including CJ Group’s China headquarters, Beijing Hanmei Pharmaceutical, Fuxing Pharmaceutical, and Yuekang Pharmaceutical Group.

This forum focused on exploring further economic cooperation between China and South Korea under the framework of the China-South Korea Free Trade Agreement, including expanding trade and investment, jointly developing industrial parks, and promoting international capacity cooperation. It also highlighted the “2016 China-South Korea FTA Comprehensive Negotiation Meeting,” which is scheduled to be held in South Korea in February.

Mr. Xu Songshan, Chairman of the company, stated that in 2016, the company will engage in deepened cooperation with Korean enterprises, fully leveraging each other’s technological and resource advantages as well as the favorable policies resulting from Sino-Korean governmental cooperation, to grow and strengthen the company.
