At the management staff meeting, Mr. Xu Songshan, Chairman of the company, emphasized that the NDA submission for NL003 is the company’s top priority. All employees must closely focus on this goal, diligently advance specific tasks according to the annual plan, and ensure that the project is completed with high quality and on schedule. In 2023, despite numerous obstacles, the project finally completed enrollment for both indicated conditions. This year, we must continue to adopt a scientifically rigorous approach, strictly adhere to GCP standards, and spare no effort in carrying out the subsequent clinical research work, striving to submit the NDA application as soon as possible.

Deploy the “Quality Culture Development Year” themed campaign.

Quality is the cornerstone of enterprise development and, even more so, the lifeline of pharmaceutical companies. The company has designated 2024 as the “Year of Quality Culture Development” and officially launched a special campaign themed “Strengthen Quality Awareness, Raise Work Standards, and Strive to Become Quality Craftsmen.” This initiative aims to further refine the company’s quality management system, enhance employees’ quality awareness and competence, and drive an overall improvement in the company’s quality management capabilities. In 2023, with the goal of establishing a group-based quality management system, the company has already laid the groundwork for a group-level quality management model and a pharmacovigilance system. Implement group procurement and financial management.

        To further reduce costs, enhance efficiency, and optimize supplier management, in 2024 the Group will implement group procurement for bulk materials—including office supplies, raw and auxiliary materials, and packaging materials—that are shared across the Group’s companies. To this end, we require the Operations Management Department to take the lead in re-examining and reclassifying the categories of office, R&D, and production materials used by each company, optimizing procurement systems and business processes, and achieving standardization and regularization of procurement activities. By adopting centralized procurement, conducting negotiations, and strengthening contract management, we will reduce procurement costs, improve procurement efficiency, and enhance procurement quality. At the same time, centralized procurement will enable centralized management and control of suppliers, thereby enhancing their quality and stability.

Further strengthen group-based financial management. On the basis of ensuring the compliance and effectiveness of financial activities across all companies within the group, continuously enhance and refine mechanisms such as authorization and approval procedures, accounting systems, comprehensive budgeting, internal reporting, and internal audit controls. Step up marketing efforts for ophthalmic products.

Ophthalmic products have been launched on the market, and Diquafosol Sodium Eye Drops have won the bid in the ninth round of national centralized procurement. As the marketing authorization holder of these pharmaceutical products, NORTHLAND has officially embarked on the path of commercialization. Currently, the group company has a total of seven ophthalmic products on the market, and another two to three products are expected to receive approval in 2024. The sales special meeting focused on discussing and arranging strategies for promoting existing products and building a robust marketing system. At present, the primary regional distributors and commercial distribution companies for Diquafosol Sodium Eye Drops nationwide have largely been identified and will sign contracts one after another; for Sodium Hyaluronate Eye Drops, some regional distributors and chain drugstores have already completed contract signings and will begin sales soon. This year, we will continue to intensify efforts to develop cooperative distributors, enhance the visibility of our ophthalmic products, build our brand, and strive to successfully achieve our annual business targets.
