The bioengineering industrialization project has entered the equipment acceptance phase, and pharmaceutical plant construction is progressing smoothly.
Recently, our company’s bioengineering new drug industrialization project has reached an important milestone. The core equipment—including the fermentation system, alkali lysis system, chromatography system, ultrafiltration system, and water production system—has been completed and manufactured. The factory acceptance testing (FAT) has now officially commenced, marking a crucial step forward in the construction of our bioengineering workshop’s production line.
As a key component of the company’s industrialization initiative, this project adopts an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) delivery model and is being implemented in collaboration with Chutian Technology, a leading enterprise in China’s pharmaceutical equipment industry. According to the “EPC Engineering Contract for the Biopharmaceutical Industrialization Project” signed by both parties, Chutian Technology assumes full responsibility for the entire project lifecycle—from detailed design and construction execution to procurement and installation of facilities and equipment, system commissioning, validation, and personnel training—ensuring that the project complies with both Chinese and international GMP standards.
FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) is a critical quality-control step conducted at the manufacturer’s facility prior to equipment delivery. Its purpose is to thoroughly verify that the equipment’s specifications, performance, and operational parameters meet the design requirements. This stage not only enables the early identification and resolution of potential issues, significantly reducing the risks associated with on-site commissioning, but also provides crucial assurance for the smooth transition of core equipment to on-site installation and operation. As such, FAT plays a strategic role in ensuring the overall project schedule, controlling construction costs, and achieving high-quality commissioning.
Currently, the core equipment manufactured by Chutian Technology has been completed at the factory. Both its technological advancement and manufacturing quality have reached internationally leading levels. This batch of equipment integrates automated, continuous, and information-based control systems, enabling precise monitoring throughout the entire production process and ensuring data traceability. This provides a solid technological foundation for the future consistency and compliance of our products.
During this round of equipment acceptance, the company assigned technical experts from multiple departments—including production, engineering, quality control, and IT—to form a joint acceptance team together with Chutian Technology’s testing engineers. The team conducted systematic inspections and acceptance tests on each piece of equipment, covering aspects such as the integrity of its exterior appearance, installation accuracy, operational stability, and key technical parameters, ensuring that all acceptance criteria fully meet the design requirements.
At the special work meeting, Xu Songsan, Chairman of the company, emphasized: “Equipment acceptance is a critical component in ensuring the high-quality delivery of the project. The acceptance team must rigorously implement the full-process management mechanism—'pre-emptive preparation, in-process control, and post-event follow-up'—and strictly adhere to the acceptance plan, ensuring that every step of the verification process is effectively carried out. Together, we will strive to build a biopharmaceutical production base that meets world-class standards.”
As the FAT work is completed and factory construction continues to advance, NORTHLAND will further accelerate its industrialization process, continuously strengthen the company's core capabilities and competitive edge in the biopharmaceutical field, and inject strong momentum into future development.
